How to compare options

Before comparing products, define the purpose, amount, and timing of the capital your business needs. Gather recent bank statements, revenue records, existing debt information, ownership details, and a clear description of how funds will be used. Then compare proposals on the same basis: total amount received, payment amount and frequency, estimated total cost, term, collateral or guarantee requirements, prepayment treatment, and any reporting obligations. A lower periodic payment may extend the repayment period or change the total cost, while faster access may carry different terms. Ask for written explanations of unfamiliar fees or conditions before you proceed.
